Engineering Expo at the University of Louisville Speed School of Engineering celebrates the many facets of the engineering profession. This annual event hosted by Speed School on Saturday, March 1st, 2008 showcases engineering corporations, student competitions, and cutting edge research and facilities at UofL.

The main event of the day is the keynote address presented this year by Dr. Bill Hammack, “The Engineer Guy.” Past keynote presentations have been given by company presidents, CIOs, and prominent figures of the engineering world. Dr. Hammack is currently featured on several radio shows where he explains engineering principles and concepts that affect our daily lives. E-Expo fosters an atmosphere of progress and competition in order to promote the exciting developments of the profession to the public. University of Louisville undergraduate and graduate students compete in different divisions of research competitions for a total of $3,000 in awards. High school students travel to E-Expo from all over in order to compete in design competitions hosted by the local chapters of professional engineering societies.

The Apache helicopter that landed last year behind the school was just one of the many exciting activities and tours that occur during E-Expo. This year will hold more interactive examples of how engineering affects society, and we hope you attend E-Expo 2008 to experience the day for yourself!
